The first mass begins at 7 a.m. at the Church of St. Blaise. Throughout the day, the priests at the Church of St. Blaise are offering a blessing with intertwined candles. This ritual is called “Grliฤanje”. This ritual is believed to protect against throat diseases, as St. Blaise is considered a saint in this regard.
The flag of St. Blaise then proceeds towards the Gate of Ploฤe, where it warmly welcomes parish flags from the eastern part of the county. Together, they continue their procession towards the Gate of Pile, where bannermen from the western part of the county join them. After paying homage to the City, the entire procession moves along the Stradun towards the Church of St. Blaise, bowing to the City and to the cathedral, where the solemn mass will soon begin.

At 10 a.m., on the feast day of Saint Blasius, a grand and solemn Eucharistic celebration takes place in front of the majestic cathedral.

After the mass, there is a procession with banners and the relics of the saints, which are offered to the faithful for worship.
At 3:30 p.m., flags are unfurled in front of the cathedral to welcome the bishops who arrived at the Fest.
As the evening was falling, accompanied by the sounds of the bells, the bannermen bid farewell to the city, concluding the enchanting celebration of the Feast of Sv.Vlaho (St. Blaise).
The Feast of St. Blaise has been a cherished tradition for over 1000 years, and its celebration has persisted through challenging times, including the Homeland War and the COVID-19 pandemic.
